Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
JUST A LITTLE IT (ABN 39 351 334 276), trading as Docket Tin, is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through the Service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control. We collect only what the Service needs to work.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and display name when you sign up.
- Warranty data: item details, purchase dates, notes, quantities and receipt photos you upload.
- AI scans: receipts you send for AI reading, plus the extracted fields and a scan history you can audit in the app.
- Reminders: your push subscription endpoint so we can notify you before a warranty expires.
- Billing: payment and billing details are handled by our merchant of record, Paddle. We store only your subscription status, plan and Paddle customer reference — never your card details.
- Usage: monthly counters of AI scans and rate-limit protection to keep the Service fair and affordable.
Browser-only trial
You can try Docket Tin without an account. Trial warranty details are stored only in your browser and are not sent to us. Clearing browser data can erase them. When you sign in on the same browser, eligible trial items are copied into your private account; duplicates are skipped and anything that cannot be imported stays in the browser. The trial does not include AI scans, uploads, reminders or sharing.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your receipts or warranty data to train AI models.
Who can see your data
Your warranties and receipts are private to your account. Only if you connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) through our integrations, or create an API key, can that assistant or key read and change your data — within the permissions you granted. You can revoke connections and keys at any time.
AI processing
When you scan a receipt, we send that image to an AI provider to extract fields like the purchase date, item name and total. The extracted results are stored with your scan history so you can audit and reapply them.
Data retention and deletion
Delete a warranty and its receipt from the app at any time. Deleting your account removes your warranty records, receipts, scan history and reminder subscriptions. We keep billing records (via Paddle) only as long as law requires.
Australian privacy law
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can request a copy or correction of your personal information by emailing support@justalittleit.com.au.
