Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Docket Tin app and website ("the Service"), operated by JUST A LITTLE IT (ABN 39 351 334 276), trading as Docket Tin ("we", "us"). Your agreement for use of the Service is with JUST A LITTLE IT. By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms.

Subscriptions

The Plus plan is a paid subscription billed in Australian dollars (A$3.99 per month or A$39 per year). Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle; Paddle is the seller on your receipt and handles tax where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel or switch billing period at any time from Settings → Manage billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your plan stays active until that date.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. For payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics, see Paddle’s Buyer Terms.

Browser-only trial

The limited trial stores manually entered warranty details only in your browser. It does not provide AI scanning, file uploads, live reminders or claim sharing. Trial data may be lost if browser storage is cleared. If you sign in on the same browser, Docket Tin will attempt to import eligible, non-duplicate trial items into your account subject to your plan limits.

Free plan

The Free plan lets you track up to 10 warranties and run 3 AI receipt scans per month, with modest receipt storage. We may adjust free-plan limits from time to time, with reasonable notice for changes that reduce features you already use.

Acceptable use

  • Use the Service only for warranties you genuinely hold.
  • Do not attempt to exceed plan limits through the API, AI assistants or other integrations, and do not share your account or API keys.
  • Do not upload unlawful material as receipts.
  • Do not use the Service for fraud, spam or infringement of intellectual property rights.
  • Do not interfere with security through malware, unauthorised probing, scraping or attempts to bypass safeguards.

Ownership of the Service

JUST A LITTLE IT retains ownership of the Service and its intellectual property, including the software, documentation, branding and original designs. Third-party materials remain owned by their respective rights holders. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your selected plan; these terms do not transfer ownership of the Service to you. This does not affect your ownership of your data.

Your data

You own the warranty records and receipt images you upload. We store them only to provide the Service and you can delete them at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

AI features

You are responsible for your prompts, having rights to the content you submit, checking AI outputs for accuracy and deciding how to use them. You retain your rights in inputs; we do not claim ownership of outputs, although outputs may not be unique or eligible for intellectual property protection. AI results can be inaccurate and are not a substitute for regulated professional advice without qualified oversight.

Do not use AI features to create illegal content, deceptive deepfakes, hate speech or malware, or to jailbreak or bypass safeguards. We may refuse or filter outputs, remove or restrict content and suspend accounts for misuse. Rights holders can report alleged infringement to the contact below; repeated infringement may result in termination.

Reminders and accuracy

Warranty expiry and claim guidance in the Service are provided for convenience and general information only. Reminders may be delayed or missed because of technical failures or notification permissions; they are not a guarantee. We are not liable for missed warranty claims or the outcomes of any claim you make with a retailer or manufacturer.

Availability and changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. We aim to keep the Service available, but we may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Suspension and termination

JUST A LITTLE IT may suspend or terminate your access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risks, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where reasonably possible, we will notify you and allow you to address the issue; immediate suspension may be necessary to protect users or the Service. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law or Paddle’s Buyer Terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian law (including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law), our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
